    • Algernon Percy, 10th Earl of Northumberland was born on 13 October 1602.
      He was the son of Henry Percy, 9th Earl of Northumberland and Lady Dorothy Devereux.
      He married, firstly, Lady Anne Cecil, daughter of William Cecil, 2nd Earl of Salisbury and Lady Catherine Howard, before 1630.
      He married, secondly, Lady Elizabeth Howard, daughter of Theophilus Howard, 2nd Earl of Suffolk and Lady Elizabeth Home, on 1 October 1642.
      He died on 13 October 1668 at age 66.
      He graduated from St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1616 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).
      He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Sussex from 1624 to 1625.
      He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Chichester in 1626.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baron Percy [E., 1557] in 1626, in his father's lifetime.
      He succeeded to the title of 4th Earl of Northumberland [E., 1557] on 5 November 1632.
      He held the office of Member of the Council of the North in March 1632/33.
      He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) in 1635.
      He held the office of Joint Lord-Lieutenant of Sussex in 1636.
      He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1636.
      He held the office of Admiral, Captain and Governor of the Fleet in March 1635/36.
      He held the office of Lord High Admiral between 1638 and 1642.
      He was General of the forces South of Trent in March 1639.
      He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Northumberland in August 1639.
      He held the office of President of the Council of War and General against the Scots in February 1639/40.
      He was Chief Commissioner of the Admiralty in October 1642.
      He held the office of High Admiral in January 1642/43.
      He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Northumberland in January 1642/43.
      He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Anglesey in January 1642/43.
      He was chief commissioner appointed by Parliament to negotiate with King Charles I in January 1642/43.
      He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Pembrokeshire in January 1642/43.

      On 1 December 1643 he was indicted by King Charles I for high treason.
